Pictures from Memorial Day 2008

Memorial Day 2008

So, I don't know how to make my posts look cute and make the words match up to where the pictures are, so I am going to write first and then post the pics.

Today, I did a whole lot of nothing until Paige called and we decided to go to see Wes. When I first drove up all I saw was flags and flowers. It was an incredible sight. The cemetery was full of families showing their loved ones they still care. Just seeing that brought tears to my eyes.

Now that we know the exact spot of Wesley's resting place it was a little harder to go up there. Ok, actually a lot harder. Paige and I took pictures by Wes. We turned around to see the amazing view and the sun was beaming through the clouds. Paige told me that that is what she saw in the sky on her way to the hospital the morning Wes passed away. We decided to take some pictures of us walking towards him.

So, for the passed 2 days or so I have had a very strong feeling to go te Wes' final resting place. After debating with myself as to whether or not I was strong enough to go alone, I lost the battle and went. I worked until 4 and so I went home and worked on dishes and stuff and I kept thinking about it. Right then, Paige called. I talked to her about it, and she encouraged me to go. I put on Wesley's sweatshirt and pants that I borrowed when we went tumbling. On my way, I put in a CD that I hadn't listened to in a while. I put it on #3 and it was a song about having a big heart and serving others. Naturally I started crying like a big baby. I finally get there and I sat down next to where I THOUGHT he was. None of us really know the exact spot where he was burried but we all kinda guess. I lost all control of my emotions and just sat there and cried. It felt really good, but it was extremely hard. I talked to him for a few minutes which was nice. I know he was listening because I felt him there. I feel blessed to live so close to him. After a while of chatting with him and cying I left. I went to Target to get some things and I saw Mikey, Wes' good friend and Manager at Mimi's. We talked for a minute and that made me cry. I start looking around and a Target employee comes up to me and asks if I am finding everything ok. I look up at him and glanced at his name tag and his name was Wes. So, AGAIN I cried. I am such a cry baby! That is ok though. Well, that was my night. I took some pics of me and the view. My eyes are all red but it's all good. =)

Back in Utah...

So, now that I am back in the swing of things here in Provo, I thought I would take some pics of my life the passed couple days. I was looking outside today right after the sun went down, and it was so beautiful. The picture does not do the view justice. I wish you could all see how incredible it is up here. The other pics are just of me being a nerd. One wsa taken today when I was at my computer. I promised Rachel I would post tonight and so I thought I would take a pic of me posting! =) The other one I took last night. I was so unbelievably tired. It was almost midnight, I had just got done studying and I still had to make a cake for Marcia's birthday. I could have bought a cake, but I have no money and I think it means more when you make it yourself. Besides, I LOVE to cook and bake! =)

Next is Easter in Acton

I was pretty sick when I was in Cali so unfortunately I was not able to hold Ryan Wesley...actually the last night I was there I held him for a quick minute. He is SO perfect. I also spent time with Ivan, Mya, Zoe and Jackson. They have all grown up SO much. On Saturday Curtis and Tristan invited all of us over to have a traditional Irish meal. I had never had corned beef and cabbage before and I must say it was mmmmmm...nummers...haha =)

so it's been a while...

I guess I should back up a little bit. I have lots of pics to post and quite a few things to say. First of all, I would like to start by talking about Easter. I had such an incredible time in Cali with my family. Coming back to Utah was extremely hard, I even cried a little...ok so I cried like a baby with a dirty diaper. =) The first couple pics are of me in the car at about 3 a.m. We were about an hour from Acton and I could not sleep!

So, my mom, sister and her wonderful kids are out visiting for the week. We were at Albertson's getting a movie at the RedBox. There was a yellow M&M display. Zoe was playing and sticking her head in it and messing around. My mom told her several times to stop or else her head would get stuck. She had her head inside of it and Tori told her to get her head out. She tried to pull it out and said, "I CAN'T" She started freaking out. While Tori was struggling to get her head out of the giant yellow M&M my mom and I could not help but laugh. I had to take a picture to capture the moment. It took Tori about 10 minutes to free Zoe.

It really didnt take me that long, I just got home late. Paige and I had an INCREDIBLE massage. Shilo is amazing. Well, I am bored so I took pics of what I made and decided to post them. =) I think Rachel will get the most enjoyment out of these.

Takin out the trash

So, I was about ot go to the market, and noticed my trash was full...so I cleaned out my refer and took out the garbage. As I was walking, I look to the right of me and notice the incredible view. It kinda took my breath away. I dont really realize how beautiful it is up here. So, I thought I would try to capture the moment.

Last Night

Last night we went to Olive Garden with my parents, Paige, her parents and J. It was wonderful. We got their at 6:30 and it was 10:00 when we left. We had great conversation. After dinner, we all went our seperate ways. As my parents and I were walking to my apartment we saw a deer to the Left of us in the distance. We look to the right and their are 5 more about 7 feet away from us. They all looked at us! It was kinda scary. Well, I just thought I would share that with you all. Next time I will try to take a picture. I hope you all hava a fabulous weekend.

Rachel, you should be proud...this is 2 days in a row of blogging for me! =)

Out of Sight Out of Mind

Well, I am officially living on my own. For the passed 2-3 weeks Kioa has been living with me, but he would leave for days at a time and would never know where he was or when he was coming home. When he was not at the house with me, it was hard the first night, but then I was ok. As soon as I started enjoying being by myself and was ok with it, he would come home. I was not going to live like this for 3 months. So, this weekend we packed up all his stuff and now he is living with one of his cousins in Salt Lake. Last night was the first night he was "officially" moved out. It was hard, a lot of tears and sadness, but I was able to get SOME sleep, and today I feel ok. It seems like whenever I am with him, I cry and it is hard, but when he is "out of sight" I am ok and can deal with it. Any words of wisdom for me? Anything that will make this easier? I know it will get easier with time and I know I made the right choice, but it is just hard. Well, I better get back to work, but I am looking forward to my future!

Love you all, and have a wonderful week!

Friday, January 11, 2008

I haven't blogged in a while so I thought I would write a little something for everyone. Right now I am at work. It is a pretty slow day. I have had such an emotionally draining week and I am hoping it gets better. Lately I haven't been able to sleep. Last night I actually got a little sleep which was SO nice! I am trying to train myself to sleep alone again. It is so hard to sleep alone when you are use to sleeping with someone every night. Sleeping alone gives me time to think at night in bed. I don't like that. The only things I can think about are the day Wes passed away and the divorce. It SUCKS! Thinking about those things makes me sad and scared and then I really can't fall asleep. Anyways, sorry to complain to all of you that read this (RACHEL) but I gotta let it out. Hopefully I will have a camera soon so I can put some pics up.

Chirstmas in Acton 2007

So, this year has been full of unfortunate events, which I am sure you are all aware of. Because of everything that has happened we have all had to travel quite a bit and we all came to realize that we didn't have a lot of money to spend on gifts. So, I got a call from Rachel a couple months back and she said that she was talking to Tori and they came up with a great idea. Instead of everyone buying gifts and spending a lot of money, they decided that we could all make games. Originally we were going to do the "couple" thing. Well, that didn't happen with Kioa having to stay home and work and well we all know about Wes. Last night was the first night all of the kids were able to get together. We started with the game Paige thought of. It was called The Name Game. It was really fun, but I came to realize I don't have a great memory. Curtis ended up winning. Next we played Twisted Twister. Tori and Chris made it up. It was SO FUN! They made their own Twister pad. It was big enough for all the Anderson's to play. (That tells you how big it had to be) =) HAHA. Sean and I were the last 2 on the mat. I should have won, but I didn't, but only because my foot moved and it was not on a dot. I would like a rematch. =) After that we played the game Curtis and Tristan made. It was fun and we all realized we don't know as much about each other as we thought we did. The winners of that were Paige and my mom. Well done ladies! The last game we played was Andrew and Rachel's version of Truth or Dare. I won't get into details but let's just say we had to drink some pretty NASTY things and there was a lot of dancing involved. I WON! I deserved it though. I had to drink 3 horrible tasting things and I had to dance. I must say that was one of the best Christmas' we have had. I absolutely LOVE being with my family. It is the best feeling. When I am with them, I don't have a care in the world and I feel so comfortable and at ease.

One if the nurses I work with is also a fireman and he went to a call the other day. This guy was holding a roman candle (that is a firework) and blew his hand off. Crazy huh? The pic is not that clear so I will try to e-mail it to you so you can see it better. Pretty awesome.

Hey Everyone (Rachel) I thought I would put this pic on here. I don't have any recent pictures and Tori sent this one today. It scared the crap out of me. Well, I hope everything is going well for all of you (Rachel). Ok love you all (Rachel) and I can't wait to hear from you...Rachel.
